1987 Hunter Cherubini 37 Cutter — Extensively Refitted, Turnkey Coastal Cruiser at $15,000
I've put serious money and time into this boat in 2024 and I'm ready to pass her on to the next adventurer. She's a rare Cherubini-designed Hunter 37 cutter with timeless lines, a self-tacking staysail rig, and a comfortable liveaboard layout. Best offers considered, and a summer slip at Bay Harbor Marina (through October) is included.
KEY FEATURES:
- 2024 Full Bottom Job — Scraped to gelcoat, 5 coats of Interlux 2000 epoxy barrier, 2 coats of ablative paint, plus a third coat on the waterline. The hull sides were buffed. This is the kind of bottom work that gives you peace of mind for years. Hunter's fiberglass construction from this era is known for solid, long-lasting hulls.
-
- 2024 Sails Reconditioned at Bacon Sails — Main, furling headsail, and self-tacking staysail all inspected and reconditioned. The headsail was restitched, a new staysail cover was made, and a custom sailbag with lazy jacks was built and installed. The cutter rig gives great versatility in varying conditions.
-
- Solar and Wind Power System — Three 100W solar panels with a Renogy controller, a wind generator, 5 house batteries plus a dedicated engine battery. This setup gives real off-grid capability for extended cruising without running the engine to charge.
