This boat was a pet project of a Mercedes dealer who never used it. At 78, I've kept it immaculate but just never use it. I bought it to waterski, but shortly after I bought it, my doctor told me my neck was so bad that if I fell, I would become a quadriplegic, so I haven't skied since that day. I've always loved the boat, so have kept it immaculate. It sits in our boat lift at our home on a 10 square mile lake, about 15 miles east of Gainesville, Florida, between Orlando, Tampa and Jacksonville. To keep it in 'like new' condition, I installed two new batteries, new distributor & wires and some sort of gas supply tank. It has a Bimini top, ski hook, hidden drop-down ladder, swim platform. Great tandem trailer in matching orange color to boat. Trailer paint is a bit faded.
I have a clean report from The Vessel Inventory (equivalent to a Car Fax, but for boats) showing this boat (Hull Identifier Number: FGBU3409D898) has no damage, no accidents, no problems of any kind and that boat is currently registered to Seller without liens in the State of Florida. Except for being older, it is like new. It's as close to "showroom condition" as possible except a couple small scrapes in the wrap that can likely easily be fixed, if you even notice them.
UPDATE :
1) Apologies, I have been so deluged with requests for info that I can hardly run my business. Be patient with me.
2) Yes, the boat really does look as close to ‘showroom condition’ as an older ‘stored inside’ boat can be. Photos in the ad were taken the day before I listed it. I noticed a couple scrapes in the wrap but those should easily be repaired.
3) The hours read 212 from a marina’s computer and 217 on the gauge, so except for its age, the 5.0L fuel injected motor is basically a brand-new motor.
4) When the marina measured the piston compression, they documented it is the same as a new motor: Consistent readings among all pistons at 175 PSI or higher.
5) When I last took the boat out, it ran great (always has) but there was occasionally a hesitation in fast acceleration.
6) I am on a 10-mile lake, about 15 miles east of Gainesville, but we are in a drought so our lake is low. Getting it to a lake for a test-drive might be a challenge; I'll start checking around.
7) Glad to throw in a bunch of lines, paddles, life jackets, fire extinguisher so you will be ‘ready to hit the water’ at purchase.
8) The price is $24,844 based on a ‘fair price estimate’ from a boat appraisal site. I believe it is a fair price as is for this beautiful boat. Comparable similar new boats of this type appear to be in the $100,000 range, I gather.
