1998 Kadey-Krogen 48 Classic Trawler — Turnkey and Ready to Cruise
There's a saying in the Krogen community: if you've seen one Krogen, you've only seen one. My boat is a perfect example of that. The previous owner, Mike Adams, was known for upgrades and modifications that looked like factory original work — and I've continued that tradition of careful stewardship. She's a full-displacement 48-footer with a 53-foot LOA, 17.5-foot beam, and a displacement of 56,450 pounds. Two staterooms, two heads, a spacious galley with washer/dryer, and enough systems aboard to cruise independently for extended periods. She was just hauled out in August 2026 for new bottom paint, running gear paint, and zincs — she's ready for this season.
KEY FEATURES:
- Naiad stabilizers — recently serviced, these make a real difference on a full-displacement hull at sea, smoothing out roll and keeping life aboard comfortable on longer passages.
-
- High-output watermaker (1,150 GPD) — new membranes installed 2025, new CAT pump and Baldor motor in 2026, so the water system is essentially fresh. True offshore independence.
-
- Upgraded salon with custom teak furniture, Corian countertops, LED lighting, large-screen TV, and soundbar — the interior has been thoughtfully modernized while keeping the classic Krogen character.
