Description
Fully equipped 2005 Beneteau Oceanis 473 — live-aboard ready and set up to circumnavigate. I've invested heavily in this boat over the years and she is genuinely turnkey for bluewater cruising. The Selden mast and standing rigging were replaced new in 2019, along with the Furlex 104S headsail furler, dyneema halyards, and Selden Rodkicker rigid vang. The Ullman mainsail is new 2023, and the Neil Pryde 120% genoa is aboard. She was just hauled out in January 2026 for fresh antifouling paint, and the Yanmar's turbo, heat exchanger, and fuel injectors were all replaced or reconditioned in August 2025. The layout has been modified from the original four-cabin format: I removed the partition between the two forward cabins to create one large double forepeak cabin with en suite bathroom — the partition is still aboard if a buyer wants to restore it. There are two further double cabins aft, each with their own bathroom, for a total of three heads. The galley is well equipped with an Eno four-burner stove with grill and oven, a front-loading fridge, and a top-loading fridge/freezer. KEY FEATURES: - New Selden rig (2019) — complete mast, standing rigging, furler, vang, and dyneema halyards replaced as a package, giving the boat a fresh offshore-capable sail plan. Beneteau's Oceanis 473 is a proven bluewater cruiser, and a new rig is one of the most meaningful investments you can make in a boat this age. - - Solar and wind power system — two 230W solar panels and an Air Max 400W wind generator mounted on a heavy-duty Atlantic Towers stern arch with dinghy davits, plus a power inverter and new battery bank. For a live-aboard or long-passage sailor, this kind of energy independence is what makes extended cruising genuinely comfortable. - - Offshore safety gear — Transocean 6-person liferaft (new 2023, re-certified March 2024), 30kg Delta primary anchor (new Jan 2026), secondary Delta anchor, and 150ft of 10mm Aqua 7 chain (new 2022). This is not a coastal day-sailor setup; she is equipped for serious offshore passages. - POWER & DRIVE: Engine: Yanmar 4JH3TE 75hp turbo diesel inboard Hours: 1,863 Cruising speed: 7 knots | Max speed: 9 knots Fuel: 57 gal diesel Water: 250 gal fresh water ELECTRONICS: Raymarine Axiom 7" chartplotter at helm Raymarine i70s autopilot control display Raymarine i50 multidata display Smartpilot course computer (just replaced) Raymarine Ray55E VHF radio at nav station LOCATION: Currently in St. Martin, Caribbean.
